SCORE, “Counselors to America’s Small Business” is the premier, free business counseling and advice service found in the United States. For more than 40 years, SCORE’s retired and working business professionals have volunteered to help a new generation of entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses.

SCORE is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit association with a public service mission to provide professional guidance and information, accessible to all, to maximize the success of America’s existing and emerging small businesses. SCORE’s 10,500 volunteers provide small business counseling, mentoring and education through a nation-wide network of 389 chapters, 400 branches and its web sites.  For Syracuse Chapter information see "About Syracuse SCORE" at left.

SCORE counselors are all volunteers who contribute their time “free” of charge. Free and confidential in-person counseling is provided at various times of the day at convenient locations. (See Locations page).

SCORE also provides workshops and seminars designed to give you the knowledge you need to run a successful business. A small fee to cover expenses is charged. (See workshops page).
